Goals and objectives

EU funded “Leading equality and access for disabilities” project is aimed at promoting equal rights and opportunities for persons with disabilities while fostering their active participation in society through involving Organisations of Persons with Disabilities (OPDs) as advocates and agents of change.
Thus, the overall objective of the project is to contribute towards promotion of equal rights of persons with disabilities and enable their participation and access to services through empowering OPDs as key actors of the ecosystem.

Key actions

Key activities of the project include: Strengthening policies and regulatory environment to ensure social inclusion and effective ICF roll-out, Promoting social inclusion of persons with disabilities among wider public, Supporting disability assessment centres to assess greater number of persons with disabilities, Conducting post-assess and follow-up evidence-based services including individual service for persons with disabilities, Capacitating OPDs and their coalitions to make them capable agents of persons with disabilities at policy and service delivery levels, Supporting OPDs to design and launch innovative ICF post-assessment services as well as to conduct monitoring and feedback of services for persons with disabilities.
