Goals and objectives
Through the Resilience and Economic Recovery of Border Communities in Armenia (REBCA) program, World Vision Armenia and partner organisations aim at ensuring the selected targeted vulnerable households in affected regions are able to meet essential needs in the form of food and to restore psycho-social conditions; and the selected conflict-affected local municipalities have improved capacity and resources to implement effective socio-economic planning and operationalization.
Key actions
Key activities of the project include: Providing vulnerable households in target settlements with comprehensive social work support based on their needs, Supporting municipalities to develop and implement contextualised local social plans to strengthen community social protection response in shocks in targeted enlarged communities of Vardenis, Jermuk and Sisian, Engaging municipalities to deliver psychological first aid in emergencies by equipping and capacity building at schools in the target settlements, Providing psychological support and related professional services to 500 children and youth based on their individual needs through individual and group sessions, Conducting group and individual therapy sessions for adults based on needs; creating environments for group co-creation and integration.
