
Big Bonfire with the motto “People of Gavar are Hosting” took place in Gavar area on September 30th.
Big Bonfire is a symbol of the start of the potato harvest, which turns into a holiday in locals’ host families.
The “Potato producers groups” of Gandzak, Sarukhan and Karmirgyugh communities treated with delicious dishes made of potato during “Big Bonfire” ceremony. About 50 dishes made of potato, as well as other national dishes characteristic to the region such as kufta, fish, baklava, gata, sugar locum were presented by the 3 communities. In the pavilion of the noodle the visitors had a unique chance to enjoy and take part in noodle making process.
