In Armenia, poverty can be witnessed pretty often, but there are stories of 60,000 people who live in extreme poverty, barely having an income of 23 384 AMD (56.2 USD) per month. Poverty strongly affects little children who usually lack basic living means – including weather appropriate clothing, heating of their houses, access to sanitation and hygiene supplies. These children comprise 28% of Armenia’s children.

On March 17, World Vision Armenia launched a fundraiser to support families in need during the state of emergency. Thanks to our donors we managed to provide food and hygiene items to 751 families last month.

The second group of pupils of Armath engineering laboratories and children from socially vulnerable regional communities attended the Technology Camp in Hangavan.

Vahan is 5 years old. He dreams to live in a warm house with his three sisters and parents.

Today we tell about the people who, on Easter eve, shared their care and love with 50 extremely poor families living in the Vardenis area.

Milena lives with her parents and her sister. Currently their family doesn't have any income and they live with the money which they had saved up from their previous job. Milena dreams of having a soft bed, dolls, clothes, shoes and a big cake.
