Situation report - Nagorno-Karabakh conflict - December 1
Armed conflict that erupted on the 27 of September in Nagorno-Karabakh - a disputed territory between Armenia and Azerbaijan, has halted with a ceasefire agreement signed by Armenia, Azerbaijan and Russia on the 10th of November. The security situation in Nagorno-Karabakh is reported to be relatively calm following the implementation of the ceasefire and the deployment of Russian Federation Peacekeepers in Nagorno-Karabakh.
Since 14th of November, the return of more than 23,514 Nagorno-Karabakh residents (out of 90,000) from the territory of Armenia to Stepanakert is reported. Those spontaneously arrived families that have to stay voluntarily in Armenia for range of reasons, often lack necessary food, hygiene items, adequate warm clothing and necessities for cold weather.
