Goals and objectives

To strengthen social protection system of Armenia for the most vulnerable population, particularly displaced people through: Enhancing social work mechanisms and support systems Improving accessibility and quality of social patronage, care, and rehabilitation services․ 

Key actions

1. High-quality social services and workforce

- Development and piloting of new social services: social patronage, social rehabilitation and care services (home care, "small group home")

- Presentation of the complete package of the above mentioned three services to the RA Government for approval and further introduction in other regions of Armenia

- Establishment of two Small Group Homes in Tavush and Aragatsot regions

- Improvement/renovation of Maralik Social House and expansion of social services

- Capacity building of 90-100 social workers and support specialists

2. Strengthening the capacity of CSOs

- Capacity building of 15-18 CSOs (day care services for children, elderly care services, rapid response in emergency situations, provision of social and rehabilitation services)

- Provision of 10 sub-grants (FSTP) to make innovative and inclusive social services accessible to the most vulnerable populations

3. Strengthening media capacity on vulnerability issues

- Capacity building of 10-12 journalists and bloggers to appropriately cover social vulnerability issues

- Publication of 10 media materials to raise awareness over social issues

4. Support for vulnerable populations

- 2000-2100 vulnerable people will receive direct support, including displaced people from Nagorno-Karabakh

- 600-700 most vulnerable people will benefit from new social services provided by sub-grant recipient CSOs

- More than 200 vulnerable people will receive care in small group homes and in Maralik Social House

- 80 vulnerable people will be involved in vocational training courses aimed at ensuring their employment or self-employment

- 20 vulnerable families will receive livelihood kits to support their eorts in generating a sustainable income
