During this challenging period for our compatriots following the forced displacement from Nagorno-Karabakh, World Vision Armenia, the Armenian Apostolic Church, and Yerevan Park joined forces to bring around 500 displaced children to experience a magical day at Yerevan Park. Leveraging its expertise in partnership, WVA served as a bridge between the children and the Yerevan Park team, organizing a memorable visit to this delightful corner of Yerevan, where laughter and smiles filled the air all day.
As part of this successful initiative, children and their parents, who came from various communities such as Etchmiadzin, Masis, Berdavan, Abovyan, Vanadzor, Yerevan, and the Gugark region, enjoyed free access to the amusement park’s attractions and were provided with meals. They had the opportunity to create unforgettable memories, lightening the burden of displacement, even if only for a day.
The initiative was full of touching moments, but the most significant highlights were undoubtedly the children’s smiles and the words of gratitude from their parents.
“Seeing our children so happy during these difficult days is a true blessing. You showed them that there are people who care for them and offer love during one of the hardest times in their lives, which is very important to them right now. We are infinitely grateful for this opportunity you gave our children,” said the mother of one of the children.
Thanks to these collaborative efforts, the children displaced from Artsakh once again felt love and care. This initiative not only brought moments of joy but also aimed to support their integration process, reminding them that everyone deserves attention and love, regardless of circumstances.
This story serves as an example of how successful collaboration can bring about real change and emphasizes the importance of surrounding every child with care.
Once again, we were reminded that even in the most challenging times, hope can be ignited in people's hearts.
